Tara Tinnin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field of social work. Tara has a post-master’s certificate in the Anthropedia model of Health and Wellbeing Coaching, and is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Tara has experience designing research studies and working in direct clinical practice with adolescents with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders, as well as providing supportive psychotherapy to perinatal individuals experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Grief, and Perinatal and Postpartum Mood Disorders. Tara has developed and managed clinical programs for the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the last 10 years, where she serves as the Associate Director of the CONNECT Program and provides Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and parent support services to teens and clients experiencing suicidality, self-harm behaviors, and other mental health disorders. Tara has a particular interest in overcoming barriers to accessing mental healthcare and is passionate about creating more robust treatment programs for adolescents and families from an anti-racist, trauma-informed, and holistic perspective.
